Director of Development - Albany Symphony
The Director of Development is responsible for planning, managing, and executing the fundraising and development activities of the Albany Symphony. Working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other volunteers and staff colleagues, the Director of Development is the key driver of the organization's efforts to generate revenues in support of it's programs and mission. As the chief fundraising officer, the Director of Development's purview includes individual (including major gifts), annual fund, corporate, and planned giving; government and foundation grants; special events.
Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer (Director of Fundraising, SL5) - SUNY Cortland
The State University of New York College at Cortland is accepting applications for a major gifts and planned giving officer. In this role, you will build and expand efforts to identify, cultivate, and solicit major and planned gifts of $25,000 or more; steward outright support, split interest gifts, retirement plan assets and bequest intentions from SUNY Cortland alumni, parents, faculty/staff and friends; enhance the existing program of charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts and annuity trusts, donation of retirement plan assets and a bequest registry program.
Must be willing and able to travel, and to work during weekend and evening hours. A bachelor’s degree is required as well as; two years of fundraising, financial planning, income tax accounting or legal experience and; a valid driver’s license. A master’s degree; five years of higher education fundraising experience and; evidence of successful design and implementation of special events is preferred.
